Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural Development (SMSC)
Developing the 'whole' child at St. Mary's is very important and the role, therefore, that SMSC plays in the life of the school is key.

As a school, spirituality was highly regarded in our SIAMS inspection. Spirituality is not necessarily connected with 'being religious' and again demonstrates our highly inclusive philosophy at St. Mary's. Everyone can benefit from being spiritual and supporting a child's spiritual development will enable them to flourish; develop positive relationships with those around them, have high self-esteem, be optimistic and have a clearer idea of their purpose in life.
