Golf club will take place during the summer term on a Tuesday after school. It starts at 3:20 and finishes at 4:00.
Tuesday 17th saw the first session take a swinging start. All the children showed great enthusiasm and perseverance in holding the club correctly.
In a target game Autumn wowed everyone by getting two balls into the targets, scoring three points to beat Jacob who had been leading throughout.
Well done everyone!
If anyone has any golf clubs hiding in their garage, shed or loft that they would be willing to donate to school please feel free to speak to Ms TV in the morning. Alternatively donations can be dropped off at the office.
The first half term of 'golf club' has seen a remarked improvement in everyone's skills. All the children have been working on their grip and swing. We have used small tricks to help us remember what to do.
When standing up to the ball we use an triangle formation to correct our stance and look at the angle of the swing to ensure our ball goes straight.
Towards the end of the half term we set up our own little pitch and put course. The children play with a lofted club and a putter - no holes as yet, just closes to the pin!
