In EYFS our day has the following rhythm:
8.50am- Morning singing: Songs for the days of the week, weather and season
9.40am- Child initiated learning: Free play
12.00pm- Collective worship: Bible stories and hymn
12.50pm- Daily mile
1.10pm- Outdoor play
1.40pm- Alphblocks and handwriting practice (3 days) OR Yoga (2 days)
1.50pm-Project work: Exploring our enquiry question
This will hopefully enable you to see the balance between adult-guided learning and child-led learning times in Reception.
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
The EYFS has been developed as a guide for normal development for children aged birth to 5 years. At the end of the foundation stage (end of reception year) children are assessed against the Early learning goals.
