Awards

We are excited to share that the school has been recognised for its exceptional commitment to language development and acquisition. 

We know that children who do better in life, as adults, have better vocabularies. Along with out commitment to reading, vocabulary is also a significant priority of the school in all year groups, from entry in nursery through to Year 6. 

If you would like to know more about how we support language acquisition in school, please speak to your child's class teacher who will be pleased to talk to you.

In line with the development our staff have been on and for our commitment to curriculum design for science, we have been awarded the Primary Science Quality Mark. We are very proud of the work that has been done to ensure that the children at St. Mary's get an exceptional science offer. 

Sports Award 2019-20

This year we have regained our Bronze Sports award.  Due to COVID-19 many of the sporting activities have been cancelled this year so all schools have had last years award status re-accredited. 

Well done to the Football team for their valiant efforts this year and to all the other children who have entered into the spirit of sport and physical activity.

We will look forward to continuing the sporting achievements at St Mary's next year.

WE DID IT! 

The school have received the Bronze Sports Mark. Well done to everyone to took part in sporting events over the last year, your efforts have been rewarded.  The school demonstrated that we are actively encouraging our pupils to take regular exercise as well as taking part in various school sporting events. 

We have gained the Global Neighbours Bronze Accreditation and are already busy working on the Silver Award!
