Choose one of the genres to write a story. Use the information given such as key words and settings to help you. You could plan the story first using the story mountain template. 

These documents are guides for parents to help their children with their reading. Please continue to listen to your children read their phonics book or any other books you might have at home.

 

Here is a website that has a few online books. If you choose the 'Read along' version of the book the children can listen to the story as they read it.

Phonics 

The creators of RWI are offering daily online lessons for children to continue their phonics learning at home. Each set of sounds has its own time slot and the video will only be available for 24 hours. 

Set 1 sounds = 9:30 am 

Set 2 sounds = 10:00 am

Set 3 sounds = 10:30 am

Big Maths Beat That - Children should practice these number facts once a day. It is a quick but effective way for children to become fluent in using their number bonds. We have been doing these three time a week in class and the progress made by the children is incredible. I will provide you with new questions every week. 

Please also allow children to access NUMBOTS online to practice their number fluency. The log in information is inside the cover of your child's diary.
