Hello Van Gogh

I hope you have all had a great week enjoying the sunshine during what would have been the spring break.

Sunday was Pentecost, which is the day that the Holy Spirit descended and appeared to the disciples following his ascension from Earth to Heaven.  This is often referred to as Whit Sunday.

A friend of mine shared some beautiful pictures of her garden to commemorate this Holy Day and I spent time in my garden feeling grateful for the wonderful things I could see; birds, bees and the flowers that are growing so strong.  I was lucky enough to see a Jay in my garden, he has been visiting the Bird table to eat the peanuts and sunflower seeds. Have a look at the picture below.

Keep going with your home learning, you have been amazing and I have really enjoyed reading the learning you are sending me via the school office:  office@stmarys.cambs.sch.uk

Remember you can ask me questions via Dojo.

Happy learning

From Mrs Biucchi :)

Who let the Gods out

Hello Van Gogh

For maths this week, year 5 will be focusing on adding and subtracting fractions and mixed numbers and year 6 are working on fraction, decimals and percentages.

I shall be adding work to accompany each day.  Remember to watch and work through the video first.

Enjoy-Mrs Biucchi

Have a go at the activities on the outside leaning sheet, they are a fun way to learn and are suitable for all age groups from EYFS to year 6.  I am sure even parents will enjoy having a go!
